Dancin Bare Topless Modified 100 Coming Up On July 18th; $1,000.00 To Win

Banks, Oregon- Another marque event for Sunset Speedway Park is coming up as the “Banks Bullring” continues to have one big race after the other. Saturday July 18th will be the annual Dancin Bare Topless Modified 100 at the 1/4-mile clay oval. This race will feature the IMCA Modifieds for a one-hundred lap feature with the winner collecting $1,000.00.
In year's past this race has been topless roofs and sideboards but the 2015 version is slightly different. This year it is no tops ONLY so sideboards WILL NOT be allowed. Also to mention that this will still be considered a points race for the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds. The folks at Dancin Bare and Sunset did not want to eliminate a points race for the division especially in the middle of the season.
Last year Doug Lockwould would secure the lead on lap twenty-five only to experience an epic side-by-side battle with Greg Walters. Eventually Lockwood would prevail after Walters had mechanical issues, In 2013 Mark Carrell would dominate the one-hundred lap event leading from lap twenty-five on and lapping all cars except second place. The 2012 event was a thriller with Mark Wauge and Robert Jenner battling in the final laps with Wauge securing the lead on lap ninety-four to hang on for the win. Greg Greer would win the first ever edition after passing Cody Jones on lap twenty-five to set the pace the rest of the distance.
Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30 each night. Tickets for both events are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00. The Dancin Bare is a gentleman’s club located in the city of Portland at 8440 N Interstate Avenue. The facility features three large televisions, three stages, and features all of the popular lottery games. At Dancin Bear there is no dress code nor is there a cover charge.
