Lebanon’s Justin Evans would be making his first attempt at the Jim’s 100. Evans would know in order to win this crown jewel, he would have to be on his “A Game” as there would be around 25 highly competitive drivers in attendance, including most which would have many prior laps around the Banks Bullring.
Evans would look for skills attained from traveling to multiple facilities in his past to have a strong early showing in the day to earn him a 2nd row starting spot in the famed 100 lap Main Event.
As the field took the green a familiar face in Joey Tardio would pace the field, setting a blistering pace. He would see a challenge heat up in Arnie Case around the lap 25 mark. The two Sunset Speedway veterans would have the crowd on their feet until the first stoppage would occur, unfortunately though the yellow was a result of the aforementioned fierce battle up front. On the ensuing restart Evans, who would find himself under caution to be moved up to 2nd, would make a bid for the lead. One he would claim just shortly before the halftime fuel break. By the lap 50 stoppage the leaders had managed to lap up to 5th place, setting up a 5 car battle to end the evenings Main Event. Evans would have Tardio, Case, and Pole sitter Bernie Lujan all keeping him on his toes. Making sure to hit his footwork each lap. Evans would hold on to win his first Jim’s 100, in his first visit to Sunset Speedway. 2019 winner Joey Tardio would finish 2nd. 2016 and 2018 winner Arnie Case would finish his night with a 3rd place run. Terry King, and Bernie Lujan would round out top 5. Anthony Prather, Don Briggs Jr, Brad Korpela, Jody Tanner, and Chris Sine would finish up a impressive top 10.
Heat Race winners would include; Lujan, Tardio, and Case. Trophy Dash Winner would be Lujan. B Main win would go to Keizer’s Anthony Prather, also making his Sunset Speedway debut.

In Deering Management Group Micro 600 Open action, Cole Patrick would put on a masterful high line display for those in attendance. Patrick would use his preferred high line, to win his 2nd Main Event of the season. He would also claim quick time and the evenings heat race. Macie Logsdon would finish 2nd, Jeff Eklund 3rd, Josh Thompson and Brendan Boyce round complete the top 5. Thompson would also win the trophy dash.

Banks local, Madyson Bigsby would find herself in victory lane for the Micro Restricted division. Cody Greer would be 2nd, followed by Dale Orcutt, and Ryan Bright rounding out the finish.
