Banks, Oregon- When the opening leg of the 2014 Wild West Modified Speedweek gets under way at Sunset Speedway Park on Saturday July 19th there will be a few things taking place for the first time ever. It will be the first time that Sunset Speedway Park has had the honor of hosting the first race of Mod Speedweek. And it will be the first time that the Wild West Modified Speedweek has taken place in the month of July, in the previous three years it has always been in June. Don’t forget that round two will be the next day on Sunday the 20th.
Jesse Williamson has won the last two Wild West Modified Speedweeks while the inaugural edition went to Brian Poppa. Already a stout field of competitors plan to make the journey this year.
