We want to thank Firehouse Subs for choosing Sunset Speedway to play host for the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Grant Presentation.
Our Local Banks Fire District 13 was presented with a check valued at $39,200 for life saving equipment. This is an amazing boost for our local first responders and fire district. A fire district that we all are very thankful for in Banks!
We thank Firehouse Subs for this very special moment for our local community, that we were honored to be a part of.
•Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation is dedicated to impacting the lifesaving capabilities and the lives of local heroes and their communities. The reach and mission of the Foundation is national in scope, providing much-needed grants to first responders and public safety organizations in all 50 states plus Puerto Rico.
• The charity provides lifesaving equipment, prevention education, scholarships, and disaster relief for first responders and public safety organizations, as well as support for military veterans.
• Firehouse Subs restaurants assist with fundraising efforts, each restaurant recycling leftover, five-gallon pickle buckets, available to guests for a $3 donation to the Foundation. Donation canisters on register counters explain the nonprofit’s mission and collect spare change, while the Round Up program offers guests the opportunity to round up their bill to the nearest dollar.
•Each October, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation hosts its largest fundraising campaign, First Responders Month. All funds raised through $1 and $5 medallion donations in Firehouse Subs restaurants and through online donations will help provide first responders with the equipment needed to save lives.
• Since its inception, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation has granted more than $98 million to support hometown heroes benefitting more than 6,900 organizations.
• In 2024, the Foundation granted:
• 393 sets of bunker gear
• 85 extrication tools
• 276 thermal imaging cameras
• 30 All-terrain vehicles
• 537 Automated external defibrillators (AEDs)
• 29 scholarships
You can see now how it even affects and helps our Small Town communities.
