Les Schwab Tire Night Next For SSP

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park will have a great night of racing this Saturday July 27th. The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series, Northwest Extreme Modifieds, Midgets, and Womens division will all be on hand while the entire evening will be sponsored by the fine folks at Les Schwab Tires.
The Northwest Late Model Series already has visited the Banks bullring six times this year. Both Greg Walters and Collen Winebarger have visited victory lane three times each. Winebarger leads the series in total wins, at five, after nine races at three different tracks over Walters’ three and Jerry Schram’s one.
Rick Graham has dominated the Northwest Extreme Modified ranks with six wins in seven races. The only other driver that has won is Rob Ireland with just one win. There have been two Midget events and they have produced two different winners. Those winners are Pat Bliss and Mitch Hoffses. In the Womens division Freya Smith has won every single race with a total of six victories.
Front gates open up at 3:30 PM with racing scheduled to start at 6:00 PM. Admission is Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military $10.00, Children (6-12) $5.00, Children (5 and Under) FREE, and Family Pack (Two Adults and Two Children) $30.00.
The Sunset Speedway Park is located just west of the Portland metro area in Banks on the Sunset Highway. From April until October you can get your racing fix at this facility which competes weekly primarily on Saturday nights. Regular classes in action include the NW Extreme Winged Sprint Cars, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, 4-Bee’s, NW Extreme Modifieds, and the Womens division.
