NELMS Back In Action At Banks On Saturday July 19th

Banks, Oregon- The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series is excited to get back to racing as they return to Sunset Speedway Park in Banks on Saturday July 19th. To know how many times the series has been there in 2014 is simple, just go off of Greg Walters victories with the tour this year. Walters has scored four wins with NELMS with all of them coming at the ¼-mile clay oval.
Shaun Mayea was able to win in the Season Opener at Cottage Grove, Phillip Johnson picked up the huge win at Madras Speedway, and “Superman” Collen Winebarger won in a thriller at Willamette Speedway. Despite being absent on the win column Brad Martin has managed to maintain his point lead with the series with a twenty-eight point lead.
The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series has visited SSP a total of twenty-three times since the organization’s inception in 2010 with Greg Walters winning the most at sixteen triumphs including the aforementioned triumph at the Spring Challenge this year. Collen Winebarger has three wins while drivers with just one include Terry Ferrando, Jerry Schram, Russ Sell, and Billy Workman Jr.
Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 3:30, and racing starts at 6:00. Tickets are Adults $12.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a Family Pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
