SSP To Host Round #5 Of Wild West Modified Shootout; $25.00 Car Load Special

Banks, Oregon- The best IMCA Modifieds in the west will be at Sunset Speedway Park on Wednesday June 17th. Teams from all over the country will converge on the “Banks Bullring”. The support class will be the Northwest Dwarf Cars. There will be a $25.00 Car Load Special which means a car, truck, or RV load full of fans will get you into the races for just $25.00. What a deal! Racing is scheduled to begin at the normal 6:30 PM time.
In local Budweiser IMCA Modified competition Mark Carrell is the only multi-feature winner with two triumphs. Drivers who have managed to win once include Rob Ireland, Jeff Lovell, Bubba Foster, Doug Lockwood, and Collen Winebarger.
Since 2011 SSP has hosted five Wild West Modified Shootout events. Travis Peery and Mark Carrell won the two events last year. The victor of the 2013 event was Jesse Williamson while dominating the field in 2012 would be Ken Schrader and Brian Poppa got the job done back in 2011.
In the Northwest Dwarf Car ranks there have been four different winners in five races. Defending champ Ryan Martinez is the only repeat winner with two trips to victory lane. Single race winners include Chris McCleary, Guy Tow Jr., and Kalvin Morton who won on May 30th at Willamette Speedway.
On Saturday June 20th SSP will host Premier Community Bank-Habitat For Humanity Night. Classes on the card include the Northwest Wingless Tour, IMCA Sport Mods, Pure Stocks, 4-Bee's, and the Late Model Lites.
Pit Gates on Saturday will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30. Tickets for this event are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
