Alberding Claims Second NWWT Of 2015 Season

Sunset Speedway Park would host the fourth race of 2015 for the Northwest Wingless Tour on Saturday June 20th. It would mark the first time that the NWWT had visited the “Banks Bullring” this year. Also in attendance were drivers representing the Oregon Double Shot Series. A total of thirteen drivers would be on tap representing the states of Oregon and Washington.
Taking the lead on lap ten Salem's Tim Alberding would be on a mission. Utilizing the top side of the race track Alberding would dominate the rest of the distance to pick up his second win of the season and first at SSP. The Alberding Racing #52 Maxim have been on a roll lately with the NWWT.
Moro's Guy Weedman would finish second, in his Weedman Ranches #27W Maxim, followed by Forest Grove pilot Jake Gilman, in third and driving the Top Coat Powder/Pure Addiction Diesel/Randy Busser Sandblasting #15R Maxim. The rest of the top five would consist of the Beaverton Automotive/Pro Towing/Rabourn Performance/Herz Precision Parts #50 Eagle, driven by Aloha's Brad Rhodes, crossing the wire fourth and Tommy Moreno fifth in the Moreno Racing #29T entry.
The Northwest Wingless Tour will venture to Cottage Grove Speedway on Saturday June 27th for their second visit of 2015 at the 1/4-mile clay oval. Admission prices are Adults $13.00, Juniors/Seniors/Military $10.00, Youths (Ages 6-12) $5.00, and 5 & Under FREE. Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Qualifying 5:30, and Racing begins right around 6:45.
