Greg Walters Wins First NELMS Race Of 2015

The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series was in action for the seventh occasion of the 2015 season. The site of the action would be Sunset Speedway Park on Saturday June 27th for the facility's Fan Appreciation Night presented by Rockstar Energy Drink. It was the fourth time that the NELMS Series has visited the “Banks Bullring” in the current campaign.
Although he has not ran that much with the series this season Banks driver Greg Walters still knows how to wheel a race car. Chauffeuring the T&G Trucking/Schram Brothers Excavating/American Landscaping/Duncan Automotive #97 Victory Circle entry he would get to the front on lap seven in the main event. He managed to keep his machine in the position for the remainder of the distance to capture his first win of 2015 in only his second start. It would also be his twentieth NELMS triumph at SSP.
Boring's Dave Walters was second in his All-In Property Investments/Warpaint Motorsports Graphix/X-Factor Race Cars #67 MasterSbilt followed by the Xtreme Motorsports #36 Victory Circle of Jody Tanner, from Portland, grabbing third. The rest of the top five would consist of Ron Brewester, out of Redmond and driving the Central Oregon Trucking/Driving Force Graphics/W.W. Trailers #31B Rocket , in fourth while crossing the wire in the fifth position would be Vancouver, Washington's Jerry Schram in his Schram Brothers Excavating/Century III Stables/Bodies by Steve-O #16 MasterSbilt. The Food Express Inc./Qwikline Industrial Products #88 MasterSbilt of Brush Prairie, Washington pilot John Gamell was fast time of the evening.
The Northwest Extreme Late Model Series returns to Sunset Speedway Park on Independence Day, on Saturday July 4th, for the Firecracker 100 presented by Baseline Pawn. To wrap up the whole evening's events a fireworks display will close the night out.
Pit Gates will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 3:30, and racing starts at 6:00. Tickets are Adults $15.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $8.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a Family Pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $55.00.
