Final Trip To SSP In 2015 For NWWT

Banks, Oregon- The Northwest Wingless Tour will visit Sunset Speedway Park for the final time in 2015. The Saturday August 1st event should be a good one with regulars of the Oregon Double Shot Series expected to join in too. Already the current campaign has been a great one with several first time winners visiting victory lane.
Tim Alberding has won the most races this year with his two visits to victory lane. He currently is the only multi-feature winner. Mike Romig, Kyle Miller, Cooper Desbiens, and Jonathan Jorgenson have all made one trip to the winner's circle with the Northwest Wingless Tour.
In eighteen visits to Sunset since 2009 the NWWT has produced ten different winners. Bill Winsley leads the series in feature wins at SSP with four over Gary Davis who has three. Drivers that have two series wins at the ¼-mile clay oval include Theo McCarty, Sterling Kane, and Mitch Hoffses. Earning just one series victory when the tour has come to town have been Ryan Bothwell, Mark Nichols, and Tony Thomas. Guy Weedman won the only 2014 event for the Northwest Wingless Tour and Tim Alberding won earlier this year back in June.
Pit Gates on Saturday will open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates open at 4:00, and racing starts at 6:30. Tickets for this event are Adults $13.00, Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-18) $10.00, Youths (Ages 12-6) $5.00, and Children under the age of 5 are FREE and a family pass will be offered for two Adults and up to four Youths for just $35.00.
