Canada’s Chris Beaulieu Looking Forward To 2016 Wild West Modified Shootout

Campbell River, British Columbia- The last time that Chris Beaulieu participated in the Wild West Modified Shootout was way back in 2011 during the inaugural season. The Coast Island Marine #90 Shaw will be back on tour beginning on Monday June 13th at Oregon’s Cottage Grove Speedway and will follow the rest of the schedule. On Saturday June 11th the Campbell River, British Columbian has a prior commitment to participate in the pavement Modifieds at his home track Saratoga Speedway.
“The tour is a lot of fun,” commented the second-generation chauffeur, “it’s really a great deal where you see so many different race tracks in eight days!”
While Chris hasn’t spent a lot of his career on dirt he has managed to put together a rather successful asphalt resume. He has accumulated eleven total championships at Saratoga as well as winning the prestigious Jaron Wolf, which is one of the biggest asphalt Modified races in Canada, in 2007.
“I’m not too familiar with the tracks but I’ve seen my dad (Jason) run them quite a bit. It’s going to be a lot of fun racing against a good group of guys that I’ve never really been around before.”
If all goes well Chris Beaulieu plans to participate in some more dirt racing later in the summer. One date the team is really looking forward to is the Shipwreck Beads Northwest Modified Nationals at Elma, Washington’s Grays Harbor Raceway in late July.
