Miller, Tardio, Henry, Krohling, Youngren, Gartner, And Sayre Get Rockstar Fan Appreciation Night Victories At SSP

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park would be quite the busy place on Saturday, June 17th. The “Banks Bullring” would host the always popular Fan Appreciation Night, presented by Rockstar. The evening would consist of the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Bridgeport Logistics Street Stocks, IMCA Sport Mods, Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bees, and the New Bees.
Vancouver, Washington ace Kenny Miller would score his first win of the season in the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds. Joey Tardio, out of Forest Grove, would best the field in the Bridgeport Logistics Street Stocks for also his first win this year. John Henry, out of Forest Grove, doubled up with his second straight triumph in the IMCA Sport Mod ranks. In the Pure Stocks it would be Tanner Krohling parking it in the winner's circle.
Tigard’s Shane Youngren became the most recent different winner in the Dwarf Cars by registering the win. John Gartner, from Portland, would become the first two-time main event winner in the 4-Bee’s. Taylor Sayre would make it three different winners in as many races in the New Bees.
Next on the schedule for Sunset Speedway Park will be the Saturday, June 24th event. Classes in action include the IMCA Sport Mods, Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars, and both classes of 600cc Micro Sprints.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00.
