Lindsay Barney Wins Second Straight WSS Race

Banks, Oregon- The Wingless Sprint Series would make their 2017 debut at Sunset Speedway Park on Saturday, July 22nd. The "Banks Bullring" would host the Open Wheel Frenzy. Fifteen teams would travel to the 1/4-mile clay oval from the states of Oregon and Washington.
Lindsay Barney would get the job done in the main event. The Eagle Creek teenager has now amassed two main event wins in a row after an impressive victory at Madras Speedway the week previous.
Sherwood's Rob Lindsey was second over Vancouver, Washington pilot Mike Romig, in third. The balance of the top five would consist of fourth finishing Theo McCarty, of Hillsboro, and Ryan Cully, hailing out of Burlington, Washington, in fifth.
Lindsay Barney was the quickest qualifier earlier in the evening. Heat race winners were McMinnville's Lance Hallmark and Mike Romig.
The Wingless Sprint Series have a couple of well deserved weeks off before they head into the next race. The WSS returns to Willamette Speedway on August 12th.
