Sunset Speedway Park Returns With September 9th 98.7 The Bull Night; Wingless Sprints And More

Banks, Oregon- After a weekend off Sunset Speedway Park is happy to be back to racing. The "Banks Bullring" will host 98.7 The Bull Night on Saturday, September 9th. Classes on the card include the Wingless Sprint Series, Dwarf Cars, New Bees, and both divisions of 600cc Micro Sprints.
The Wingless Sprint Series will have their final race of the 2017 season with the champion being crowned at the end of the night. Lindsay Barney won the previous race back in late July.
Ryan Martinez has gathered the most trips to victory lane in the Dwarf Cars, with four. Shane Youngren has won twice while Barry King, Jimmy Brinster, and Jake Van Ortwick are credited with a win each. Both the Northwest Dwarf Car and Pacific Hardtop Racing Association clubs will be in the house that is sure to produce a sizable car count.
In the 600cc Open Micros Jeff Little lead the win column at three. Casey Starr, Derek Torkelson, Colby Thornhill, and Chance Crum all have one triumph each. Winners in the 600cc Restricted Micros include Braden Maltais, with four, and one-time victors Colby Thornhill, Dakota Drake, and Lane Taylor.
In the New Bee ranks both Kaylee Batalgia and Taylor Sayre have two wins to their credit. Travis Zimmerly and Bailey Jackson are one-time victors.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00.
