SSP Hopes To Start 2018 Season On Saturday April 21st

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park will once again attempt to get their first race in of the 2018 campaign on Saturday, April 21st. The “Banks Bullring” has a loaded menu of seven division scheduled to shred the clay. They include Super Late Models, Street Stocks, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bees, New Bees, and both classes of 600cc Micro Sprints.
During the weekend we managed to talk with a couple of drivers and their plans about 2018.
“Sunset is one of my absolutely favorite tracks to race at,” said Street Stock contender Joey Tardio, “It’s a very technical race track and if a driver or car isn’t perfect you won’t be upfront.”
Captain Turnabout will be setting sail once more in the 4-Bee ranks in hopes of collecting booty and treasure in 2018.
“I be looking forward to leading a crew of four pirate marauders this year we increase the size of our fleet at Loose Cannon Racing,” commented Turnabout, “we are pulling our ships out of dry dock and setting our rigging to race.”

Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00.
