Elwess, Case, Krohling, Little, Johnson, And Conroy Get May 5th SSP Wins

Banks, Oregon- The second race of the 2018 season would be completed at Sunset Speedway Park on Saturday, May 5th. Billed as Bud Light Lime-A-Rita Ladies Night the “Banks Bullring” would have a total of five division racing on the ¼-mile clay oval. They included the IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, 4-Bees, and both classes of 600cc Micro Sprints.
Aaron Elwess, out of Vancouver, Washington, won the caution free IMCA Modified event. Arnie Case, also of Vancouver, recorded his second win of the campaign in the Street Stock ranks. Getting the job done in the first 2018 race for the Pure Stocks would be Tanner Krohling.
In the 600cc Open Micros Jeff Little, making the long journey from Deming, Washington, parked it in victory lane. In the 600cc Restricted ranks it was Ferndale, Washington Alli Johnson hoisting the trophy. Finally in the 4-Bee division Ryan Conroy, of Portland, was the winner.
Sunset Speedway Park resumes racing on Saturday, May 12th for 98.7 The Bull Night. The radio station will have representatives on site doing several giveaways from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM including tickets for upcoming events. Classes racing include Super Late Models, IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, 4-Bee’s, and New Bees.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00.
