SSP Hosts Kids Night On June 9th; Bicycle Giveaway To Take Place

Banks, Oregon- Sunset Speedway Park will have a fun night of racing for young and old on Saturday, June 2nd. The “Banks Bullring” will have Kids Night and some lucky kids will win some bicycles before the night is all said and done. Classes racing include the Super Late Models, Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, 4-Bees, New Bees, and both Micro Sprint divisions.
In just two Super Late Model races Britton Donahoo and Willie Sutton are the two winners. Arnie Case has yet to be defeated in the Street Stocks, in fact he is a perfect five for five thus far. In the Pure Stocks Tanner Krohling has made it to victory lane twice while Bert Pegg won the big Bud Light Iron Man 100 last weekend.
Ryan Conroy has been the man to beat in the 4-Bees. Despite having his five main event win streak snapped last Saturday he still tops the table with a hefty win total. Austin Henderson and Captain Turnabout are the only two guys to have beat him. The New Bees have had four different winners in as many races. That win list includes Cutlass Jones, Ryan Potter, Barry Cannon, and Dakota Vorseth.
The Micro Restricted division has yet to see a repeat winner. Gracing the winner’s circle include Dakota Drake, Lane Taylor, Allison Johnson, and Jo Jo Batalgia. The same statistic can be stated for the Micro Open class. Drivers that have gotten the job done in that won are Evan Margeson, Chance Crum, Jesse Schlotfeldt, and Jeff Little.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00.
