SSP Ready For Jim’s Thritway 100 On Saturday July 7th

Banks, Oregon- It’s that time of the year again at Sunset Speedway Park! It’s time for the Jim’s Thriftway Open National Street Stock 100 on Saturday, July 7th. This is the biggest Street Stock race of 2018 and will also feature 4-Bees, New Bees, and both classes of Micro Sprints.
Past Jim’s 100 winners include Past winners in the last few years have been Ron Jermann (2012), Craig Loomis (2013), Tony Catalano (2014), Kyle Yeack (2015), Arnie Case (2016), and Kyle Yeack (2017). The race was started in 1999. So far in 2018 Arnie Case has seven main event victories in the Street Stocks and Donald Schott has managed to win once.
Ryan Conroy leads the 4-Bee ranks with his six wins to date. Austin Henderson, William Wolfe, Captain Turnabout, and Travis Cook have all won once. Cutlass Jones is the only multi-feature winner in the New Bees, with two while one-time winners include Barry Cannon, Ryan Potter, and Dakota Vorseth.
The Restricted Micros have had six races with as many different winners thus far this season. Jesson Jacobson, Jo Jo Batalgia, Allison Johnson, Lane Taylor, Dakota Drake, and Becca Clark have all etched their names on the win list in 2018. In the Micro Opens Jeff Little has an impressive three wins to his credit. Evan Margeson, Jesse Schlotfeldt, and Chance Crum have made one trip to victory lane this year.

Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00.
