Arnie Case Wins Jim’s Thriftway 100 At Sunset; Little, Johnson, Conroy, And Cutlass Jones Also Get Wins

Banks, Oregon- The biggest Street Stock race of 2018 at Sunset Speedway Park would take place on Saturday, July 7th. The Jim’s Thriftway Open Street Stock National 100 would attract cars from all across the Pacific Northwest. 4-Bees, New Bees, and both classes of Micro Sprints were also on tap.
Vancouver, Washington’s Arnie Case would get the job done once more in the Street Stocks. Case has dominated the class in 2018 and now has eight wins this year. Case won the event back in 2016.
Ryan Conroy, who has also dominated the 4-Bees, parked it in victory lane for the seventh time at SSP. Cutlass Jones would finally get his third win of the year in the New Bees. Jeff Little, of Deming, Washington, beat the competition in the Micro Open ranks for the fourth time. Ferndale, Washington native Allison Johnson got her second Micro Restricted triumph.
Sunset Speedway Park returns to racing on Wednesday, July 12th for the Western Sprint Tour Speedweek Northwest. It is the one and only 360 Sprint event at the “Banks Bullring” on the entire schedule. Dwarf Cars and 4-Bees will be the two support classes.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $16.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $13.00.
