July 14th Topless Modified 100 Next For Sunset Speedway Park

Banks, Oregon-Sunset Speedway Park returns for racing on Saturday, July 14th for the Topless 100 for the IMCA Modifieds. The Mods will race without their roofs on and will be competing for one-hundred laps around the “Banks Bullring”. Also, in action will be IMCA Sport Mods, Pure Stocks, Dwarf Cars, and 4-Bees.
There has yet to be a repeat winner in the Topless Modified 100 as Greg Greer, Mark Wauge, Mark Carrell, Doug Lockwood, Jesse Williamson, Kenny Miller, and defending champ Craig Cassell. Greg Walters is till the only multi-feature Mod winner at SSP, with two, while Jimmy Schram, Trevor LaBarge, Aaron Elwess, Collen Winebarger, Jesse Williamson, and John Campos each have one.
In the Pure Stocks both Tim Zurita and Tanner Krohling have two victories each with Bert Pegg and Jacob Myers each have one to their credit. In Dwarf Car competition both Shane Youngren and Jake Tupper have a pair of triumphs at SSP with one-time winners including Jeremiah Hester, Ryan Martinez, and Josh Rodgers.
In the 4-Bee ranks Ryan Conroy has had incredible season with his eight wins in the class. Travis Cook is the only other multi-time winner with two trips to victory lane. Other drivers that have graced the winner’s circle include Austin Henderson, Captain Turnabout, and William Wolfe, all with one win.
Pit Gates open at 2:00 PM, Front Gates 4:00, Time Trials begin at 5:30, with Racing kicking off at 6:30. Tickets are $13.00 for Adults and Seniors/Military/Juniors (13-17) $10.00.
