Pat Canfield Wins Deering Management Group Open Wheel Frenzy At Banks

Banks, Oregon- The cars and stars of the Wingless Sprint Series made their way to Sunset Speedway Park on Saturday, August 11th. It would mark the one and only visit to the “Bank Bullring” in 2018. Fourteen entries from the states of Oregon and Washington would be represented at the Deering Management Group Open Wheel Frenzy.
Ariel, Washington’s Pat Canfield scored a huge victory when the checkered flag dropped at the end of the feature. It would be Canfield’s second win of 2018. Sherwood chauffeur Rob Lindsey was the runner-up ahead of Tim Alberding, from Salem, in third. The balance of the top five would consist of McMinnville’s Lance Hallmark, in fourth, and fifth finishing Wayne Van Raden, from Beaverton.
The Wingless Sprint heads back to Madras Speedway on Saturday, August 18th. It will be their final race of the season at the central Oregon ¼-mile oval. For the latest news and information log on to wingless.nwextremeseries.com .
