Ladies Night Wins To Walters, Modaff, Lee, Lowe, Conroy, And Keller

Banks, Oregon- Saturday, May 11th, marked the third race of 2019 for Sunset Speedway Park. The “Banks Bullring would host Ladies Night with a great crowd to compliment some incredible racing action. Classes on hand included the IMCA Modifieds, Outlaw Late Models, Pure Stocks/IMCA Hobby Stocks, IMCA Sport Mods, 4-Bees, and the New Bees.
Banks native Greg Walters once again defeated the competition in the IMCA Modifieds. It is the second straight week that he has bested the field this season. The Outlaw Late Models made their debut and it would be Battle Ground, Washington veteran Sonny Modaff parking it in the winner’s circle. For the third different race a new face has graced victory lane in the Pure Stock/IMCA Hobby Stock ranks. Forest Grove driver Kendall Lee managed to be the first driver to cross the finish line.
Rod Lowe, of Cornelius, became the most recent winner of the IMCA Sport Mod division. Ryan Conroy tasted success in the 4-Bee feature while the New Bees had their first event of 2019 and witnessed Andie Keller picking up the victory.
Sunset Speedway Park takes this weekend off but returns to racing on Saturday, May 25th, and Sunday, the 26th, for the Spring Challenge. Classes on both nights include the IMCA Modifieds, Street Stocks, IMCA Sport Mods, Dwarf Cars, 4-Bees, and both classes of Micro Sprints. For more information log on to www.sunsetspeedwaypark.com .
